After breakfast we rode en masse to Dog Beach and dipped our rear wheels into the Pacific Ocean. It was a little hectic getting out of San Diego with the traffic. Our group started to spread out as the ride continued and everyone fell into a comfortable pace. The town of Alpine is at 2000 ft., but the climbs were manageable. It was 77 degrees and sunny by the time we finished the ride at about noon. The food has been fantastic, prepared by our chef and sous-chef -- lots of vegetables, fruit, grains, protein --taking everyone's dietary needs into account.
Looking forward to hearing more, Jeanne. I'll be checking in regularly. Glad the food is good, and pleased to hear that our Portland bike shop holds its own.
ReplyDeleteI figure you are 9th from the left in the purple jacket and orange helmet. You finished your ride at noon...then what?
