Here I Am in San Diego

Yesterday, I flew out to San Diego, picked up my re-assembled bike at a local bike shop (the caliber of the shop was nothing like Cycle Mania in Portland, so I hope they put it together properly).

I'm glad I have today to get acclimated before starting the ride tomorrow. We have an orientation this afternoon and I'll meet the women with whom I'll be spending the next (almost) 2 months.

I had dinner last night with my San Diego friends, Mike and Annelle Miroue. Mike is an orthodontist in the San Diego area (I was an orthodontist in my previous life).

More tomorrow once the ride starts.

    So glad you made it! I was afraid all the cancelled flights would affect your plane. That's fantastic. I got the San Diego contact from my friend and will send via regular e-mail.
    It was 6 degrees here this A.M. and icy. I'm seeing more of the gym in last few days than I have all winter! Still the dog to walk, though, so I guess I'll have to strap on the StableIcers. I'll be thinking of you in balmy 70-degree temps. and ice-free roads. ML
