59 Miles to Bastrop, TX .....

Today was our first day of riding in the rain. The weather report was for a 50-60% chance of rain and it sounded as if it could miss us altogether. It was about 53 degrees and I decided to dress in full rain gear: jacket, rain pants, shower cap type cover over my helmet, rain booties and heavy gloves that are good in the rain. I had purchased all this stuff in preparation for the Dempsey Challenge 2 years ago. I've ridden in the rain before and it's not fun when your feet are wet and you're cold.
About 30 minutes into the ride it started to rain. The women that were in shorts and no rain gear really suffered, but I was cozy in my rain gear.
It was supposed to clear at noon, but was still raining when we rolled in at 1:30 and it looks as if it is still raining (at 4:50 pm). I've cleaned my bike, showered, and I'm getting organized for tomorrow's ride. Hopefully, the weather will improve .....
I can't remember if I've posted the current map. The white circle is Austin because I wasn't sure exactly where we would be there.
