75 Miles to Cleveland, TX ........

Today's ride was the best. Things are so green and we even saw a big lake where some men were fishing. We've sort of left the Texas wild flowers behind, but saw a lot of pine trees.
I was riding with Sally and Linda today. Sally is good on the downhills and Linda is good on the uphills and I fall somewhere in between. We ride at a more relaxed pace, so I find it enjoyable. They like to stop and have a proper lunch if we can find a place, which today we couldn't until we got to our destination.
In the picture, Linda is in the foreground. She and her husband moved to the big island of Hawaii where they both do volunteer work. They live in Hilo (the rainy side). She's a retired nurse, volunteers every year for the Ironman, works for the food bank and does outrigger canoeing in addition to her cycling.
Sally lives on a family-owned farm in Oregon (1800 acres) where they grow grapes for wine making, blueberries and grass seed. She also has a medical transcription business. They have a vacation home on the big island of Hawaii (Kona, the dry side) and go there in January and February.
We're having salmon for dinner tonight but I'm going to try not to compare it to what I get at home.
